Bespoke Nanny & Childcare Agency
New Mums London
PROJECT STORYLINE:
ACT 1: The Set-Up
New Mums London is a premium Nanny Agency, based in the heart of the UK capital, catering to families in Central London. Specialising in the bespoke sourcing, vetting, and onboarding of nannies, maternity nurses, and housekeepers, their mission is to provide families with the highest standard of childcare and household support.
With their focus on professionalism and trust, New Mums London sought a visual identity that would reflect both the nurturing essence of their work and the exclusive, premium nature of their service.
ACT 2: The Challenge
The brief called for a logo that balanced boldness with softness - a brand mark that would evoke the tender care of new life, symbolised by elements of birth and blossoming flowers.
But there was more to this request: the logo also needed to subtly incorporate the brand’s initials, blending them seamlessly into a figurative design. The challenge was in striking the right balance between luxury and approachability, ensuring the logo felt refined yet welcoming, with a visual softness that would appeal to new mothers while maintaining a sense of professionalism.
ACT 3: The Resolution
The final design delivered a sophisticated yet gentle brand identity. The logo intertwined floral elements with subtle references to new beginnings, all while embedding the initials of New Mums London into the design in a way that felt organic and understated.
Soft curves and delicate colour choices were combined with a bold, structured typeface to create a logo that both stands out and evokes trust, warmth, and nurturing care. The result is a versatile visual identity that works across a range of formats - online, print, and in-house branding - positioning New Mums London as a trusted and premium provider in the competitive London childcare market.

Logo Design | Process
New Mums London (NML) is a new bespoke Nanny Agency based in London.
Initially, they wanted a website (by WAGI Digital), but after some initial discussions, they agreed that having a logo/visual identity would be crucial to their launch plans as a means of building trust and recognition of their new brand.
They had ideas of what elements they wanted to incorporate into their logo which included softness, new birth, their letters ‘NML’ and some form of flower component.
Soft curves were important to evoke such elements as the shape of an expectant mother’s tummy, the petals of a flower and the feminine founder of the company. The company would focus on a predominantly female clientele so the logo should embrace femininity in general.
The flower element played a central role in the creation of the logo, and after researching different flowers, the independent nature of tulips, coupled with their simple beauty decided the initial design profile.
After that, it was a case of how to use the letters ‘NML’ in some way within the design.
Finally, the use of colour in the logo would strengthen its core values with the use of soft pink gradients to highlight the elements.
Here is the process for designing this logo.
